- What is an Arts Pledge?
An Arts Pledge is a collective commitment to strengthening arts and cultural learning within your setting.
Each pledge is:
- Locally shaped
- Evidence-informed
- Aligned with your existing priorities
- Designed for long-term cultural change
- It is not a one-off award or short-term initiative — it is a sustainable approach to growth and impact.

- How is The Arts Pledge different from other arts initiatives?
The Arts Pledge is:
- Locally shaped but nationally connected
- Focused on long-term cultural change
- Evidence-informed but practice-led
- Built on collaboration between schools, artists, and communities
We prioritise sustainable systems rather than short-term projects.
- How do we start the process?
Getting started is simple:
- Contact us via email.
- Arrange an initial conversation to explore your priorities and strengths.
- Work with a regional specialist to shape your personalised Arts Pledge.
From there, you join a growing national network committed to strengthening arts and cultural education.
- Is there a cost involved?
Yes, there is an annual membership fee, always kept as low as possible. Membership fees support the strategic guidance, networks, research, and partnership opportunities provided through The Arts Pledge. Profits will be reinvested to support children, young people and communities in their work. Please contact us for current membership details and pricing.
- Do you work regionally or nationally?
Both.
The Arts Pledge is nationally connected but delivered through regional specialists and partnerships. This ensures your pledge is rooted in your local identity and community while benefiting from national networks and shared expertise. - How does The Arts Pledge support disadvantaged communities?
We are committed to closing enrichment and entitlement gaps.
By working collaboratively with schools and communities, we help expand access to high-quality arts and cultural experiences — particularly where opportunity has historically been limited. - How can we get in touch?
